Which Goal Have You Chosen?

I have been with MFP for nearly a month and love it! Just need a little help, advice and your experiences please.

OK...when I first joined I selected the 2lb loss a week goal with 1200 calories a day and did great losing 12lb in 3 weeks. This week however, despite sticking to my calories I have put on 3lbs - could be a 'blip' but.....

I went to Weight Watchers a few years ago and had a constant slow weight loss there (I know, I was younger - it was easier). I worked it out and I was on around 2000 calories a day then and kept up a steady weight loss with a few odd weeks gaining a half pound or plateauing.

So I am wondering maybe I'm not eating enough and my body is going into 'starvation' mode? Should I increase calories? I have around 40lbs left to lose. Which goal have you all selected? 2lbs, 1.5lbs or 1lb a week loss? Particularly aimed at those with more than 20lbs to lose....
