Lots of stuff out there we all know telling us 'here's the best way to lose weight,' and most all are good, etc. In addition to trying to keep committed to MFP, I have been going faithfully to the Y but was not sure I was getting the most benefit of my time there. Just by searching and not giving up, I have come across a number of sources all supporting the way to best benefit from exercise, whether at the Y, walking, swimming, on and on, is not spending hours. Rather how the exercise is done. The best website so far is from Dr. Joseph Mercola @ http://fitness.mercola.com/sites/fitness/Peak-8-fitness-interval-training-chart.aspx. For more detail Google Dr. Mercola and Phil Campbell on Sprint 8 Elliptical Demonstration. This has really caught my eye and I just now collecting more data and reading. It seems to be credible going back to the 60's with Dr. Cooper. Dr. Mercola is a medical doctor.
