New to this and need friends

Hi I'm fairly new to this. I hope to make friends to share progress or frustrations with and need friends that can make me accountable. Been posting my meals for a few weeks now and getting frustrated. I'm 50yrs young and wanting to get my weight down about 3-4 lbs. Seems that as soon as I turned 50 (August) I started to gain weight ! Not good! I felt I didn't have any control although I was still working out which includes strength training and cardio so I increased my cardio and am now logging my meals so I can make changes as needed. I eat pretty clean but have a problem reaching my goal of 1200 calories on some days then go over on others ,also I go over quite a bit on fat:(. Need help figuring out how to balance all that because I'm at same weight I started at... looking forward to connecting and I can also help motivate etc.

    Hi rockstarrockstar.. I have been a member for a few years but need some motivation to stick to it for a while. Am wanting to lose about 5 kgs (11 pounds). MFP has also calculated my goal at 1200 however this is much lower than other apps (others are more around 1400 cals)... I don't worry too much about the fat, mainly the calories. I am the same weight as when I started too however have been unable to exercise for he last year or 2 so that's not helping... I turn 45 next week and definitely finding it harder to lose weight in my 40''s than 30's so thought I should give this another go...
