Carbs burned during excercise

Hiya everyone,
Not sure if this is a dumb question but here goes.
I'm trying to eat <50carbs a day. Before I went for a bike ride I had 12 remaining and after is logged the excercise it said I had 23 remaining.
I'm just wondering how mfp works out exactly how many carbs you've burned?

MFP doesn't work that way. MFP works based on calories. You have more carbs to eat because you tracked exercise. If you track 100 calories of exercise, and you are set to 50% carbs 30% protein 20% fat, then you will get those percentages of calories in grams of carbs, fat, and protein added to your goals.0 -
When you "earn" more calories via exercise, MFP spreads the additions across your Macros using the same percentage as the "base" numbers. Your Protein and Fat goals should also have increased after your ride. How you deal with the additions is up to you.0

Okay that totally makes sense. Thank you's!0
