Viviosmart watch/Garmin Connect and MFP - Please Help!

Hi all!
I recently got a Garmin Viviosmart watch with a waistband to monitor my heart rate. I absolutely love it so far. However, I am confused about how the watch syncs with MFP. More specifically, how the Garmin Connect calorie adjustment works. On Friday, February 27 I had 15,908 steps, which MFP displays under "Cardio Exercise" and says I earned 663 extra calories for my daily activity level. Here's where I'm confused: About 6,000 of those total steps were from my TurboFire Fire 55 workout, and my watch says I burned about 700 calories during that 55 minute workout. So... How am I supposed to record that exercise in MFP without overestimating how many extra calories I've earned? Should I not add the calories burned from the workout since it's already accounted for in the Garmin calorie adjustment?
I really hope this makes sense! Any help would be much appreciated since I want to make sure I am accurately logging my exercise calories to make sure I'm not over or under eating.
Thanks!
~Jessica
