I'm really new to tracking my food, but I know it's necessary because I struggle with my weight and have been underweight in the past. Im currently working toward becoming a yoga instructor and have finally gotten to a healthy weight. The challenge will be keeping it this way which can be especially hard because I'm a vegetarian. Anyways, vegetarian or not id love to make some friends on here to keep me motivated to get on and track my food! :)

Vegetarian here! It is hard to maintain weight without fluctuations. I have added cottage cheese to my daily intake and the extra protein helps. Don't know if you are vegan...if so, this would not help.

I've been a vegetarian for about 3 years. I'm currently adding some seafood and small amounts of chicken into my diet. I really don't like it, but my weight lifting regime is demanding more protein than I could provide as a vegetarian. HA HA ! My number one rule is I never discuss Vegetarianism with carnivore's :)
  • I do eat fish so I guess I'm actually a pescatarian! But I struggle with getting enough protein also :/

Do a search for "vegetarian" and you'll find several groups to join. You can get to know them through groups, find MFP friends, learn more about what it takes to be a healthy vegetarian. There is no reason a vegetarian should have a problem maintaining a healthy weight.

I've been vegetarian for most of my life; I'd be happy to help in any way that I can.
