Getting Restarted

Hi there,
Getting restarted here. I'm coming up on my one-year anniversary on MFP, but have been sidetracked and inactive (both on here and in real life) for the last few months. Life with my new baby has been very challenging...she was born in November, and (silly me) I thought I had the whole new Mom thing "in the bag"...and that staying fit this winter would be no problem. As it turns out, I was mistaken. My little daughter fell very ill right around New Year's...we spent that holiday in the NICU...and honestly the past couple months have been a blur. Not to make excuses for myself, but eating right and exercising have NOT been priorities for me.
Happily, she's 100% recovered and I'm on track to recovering from the stress of it all now, too. I joined a gym a few days ago, and (most importantly) have been able to schedule some "me time" most days in which to exercise/take care of myself. So hi, MFP peeps...it's nice to be back.
I'd love to add some fresh faces to my friends list for additional help with motivation this Spring. Runners, non-runners, new moms, old moms, all are welcome to "friend" me on here.

I'll shoot you a friend request! So glad you're back to it, my son just turned 1 and I know I thought it would just take a few weeks or so to get into our "new normal" but now the "new normal" is in the form of "constant change"! LOL0

i'm glad your baby is better! My son always gets sick and it turns straight to pneumonia.

Yeah, mommyhood is crazy during the best of times, I think, and having a sick kid is...well, just awful.
Thanks for the friend request, PinkCoconut!!!0 -
So happy your little one is better. My little one is 9 but remember those first months well.
I'm also getting restarted after gaining the weight I lost back. I'll send you a friend request.0
