JM Ripped in 30 - started yesterday!

So anyone else starting JM RI30??
Yesterday was Day 1 week 1
Today is Day 2 week 1 lets see how it goes!
starting stats -
171 lbs
waist 34
hips 41
although only 20 minutes - that was a workout! i bought 10 lb weights thinking i would need heavier ones for the leg work - but i didn't go above my 5 lb weights!! phew and im a bit sore which is a good feeling ... i plan on still incorporating some extra cardio during the week walking the dog mostly. maybe some 20 minute turbo jam here and there.

PS I would love to see some picture results of anyone who has already done it

Day 2 man phew ouch im more sore today and it was harder to get through but i did it! ... my "hammies'" are killing me today thats where i feel most of the work out ... i think instead of doing day 3 i may go walk the dog or do turbo jam but i will see how i feel when i get home. if i can muster the strength for day 3 bring it on!!
oh and proud of my DH he went for a run yesterday :happy:
only i messed up and had a bagel and cream cheese yesterday and some cookies and chips which even though i tracked them i went over my cal goal :grumble: ....
TODAY there's food every where at work ... 600 calorie muffins :noway: , breakfast tacos, cakes, donuts on and on ...
I bargained with myself ok... dont get your favorite muffin (banana nut or chocolate) but get the blueberry muffin and eat half that way your only blowing 265 calories on junk and still feel like you got to taste it... probably not good reasoning but im trying super hard to avoid the other stuff ... good news is i havent touched the muffin yet its just sitting on my desk for now.0 -
I've done RI30 twice before
I like it! I've gotten good results. This time around.. I'm still using 3lb weights like I used the first two times through, but I am also using 10lbs for mainly the second circuit strength part. Oh yeah, I started it agian yesterday. So today will be my Day 2, Week 1.

ah went ahead and did wk 1 day 3 yesterday for some reason i decided i just couldn't take a rest day... today may be my rest day though.....
I think by far the hardest bit of week one for me is the side lunge with the front arm raise. that one kills me.
But i feel like its gonna be really worth it in the end i dont think ive lost any weight or inches yet but i am feeling great behind the workout.
Trying to decide if and when i should bump up to the 10 lb weight ?0 -
So i got through week 1 day 3 and havent done it since :indifferent: ... i went out of town saturday and was sick :sick: all through sunday with one of those 24 hr stomach bugs :grumble: came home monday and was too tired to work out :yawn: . So today i have to pick up where i left off and do wk 1 day 4 but today has left me so stressed out i dont know if i have the motivation to do it... :frown:
*sigh* i wanted so badly to push through and completed the 30 days no matter what... dont tell me im already trying to give up :frown:0 -

Doing the 30-Day Shred three or four times a week, I still got great results. The cool thing about taking a break of a few days is that when you get back to it, you will be stronger from the rest.
Don't give up, you can do this.0 -
oy... didn't do my workout yesterday... there were two men at my house installing new cable (didn't know they would be there) and ran out of time *sigh* i have to get it in today add some heavy cleaning to the mix
Thanks Everyone - i just cant give up- every time i look in the mirror i don't like it - its gotta get fixed - question is will i look back a month from now and realize the progress i could have made or realize the progress i have made - which will it be?0 -
finally got day wk 1 day 4 done!!!!! yay!!! debating on whether i should just do day 5 and 6 as planned or if i should do one extra day of week 1 since i missed so many days.... or just push through to week 2?0

I wonder if its reasonable to think you feel changes in your shape before they can actually be measured?0 -
So i completed 5 days of JM RI30 Week 1 Today im starting Week 2!!
Gonna be hard with this ridiculous sunburn I've got on my back and legs but im gonna try!
And i have to say I've been pretty well behaved this past week, diet wise. Except for Sunday i didn't eat a WHOLE lot but i had BBQ for dinner and a few drinks so i know i went over calories0 -
Oh my goodness...... week 2 day 1..... trying to do it with a sunburn :sad: hurts man but i did it the best i could!0

Yes definitely, I always feel the changes, usually within days, they may be small but they feel huge to me
Awesome cause thats how i feel, i cant get any measurements to show and my weight doesnt seem to change but after the first week i felt like my shape was changing i just cant see it!!! :ohwell:0 -
Ok so i know i've been whining about my sunburn a lot but it made it nearly impossible for me to do the lying down exercises on wk 2 day 2 yesterday, but i did my best not to quit and get through it....
I may just take a rest day today and do some other cardio, a walk or turbo jam, or zumba on the Xbox or something, I think if i give it a rest today with jillian i may be able to jump back into it tomorrow. i think i need to incorporate more cardio than just RI30 though. The workout is great and gives me a good sweat which not many do but i really will be disappointed if i don't see a measurable change
On the plus side! i put on some of my tighter jeans and they feel slightly less tight than when i last put them on. i know that's a little silly i could just be less bloated but it does feel like something is happening...0 -
So i took my rest and it was worth it in the fact that my sunburn was a bit more healed and i was able to get through wk 2 day 3 pretty well, i didnt realize how much it was affecting my ability to do the exercises. BUT my rest day was followed by too much pasta and snacking. its ok though the next day came and i behaved for the most part
My LEAST favorite exercise is those ab table things i don't know HOW to do those well they are just boggling me.
Today is wk 2 day 4 bring it on0
