Antibiotics + plateau = coincidence? (Might be a bit gross)

I had a cyst that turned into an abscess, which burst of it's own accord so I visited the doctor who prescribed antibiotics. I am 32 and never taken them as an adult. I think I was 5 or 6 the last time I had any.

Ever since, my weight has bounced around (99.7kg, 99.4kg, 99,6kg, 99.8kg, 99.6 etc etc) and my stomach feels DREADFUL! So bloated. I had crazy diarrhea for 2 days straight, then nothing for days (just insane farting!).

For background, I am morbidly obese at 99.6kg/119lbs and 150cm/4'11". I have binge eating disorder which I have controlled since the 4th of Jan this year and have lost about 15.5kg/32lbs since then. I have around 1200cal per day, it was 900 but that wasn't enough for me. I follow a ketogenic diet and my exercise consist of weight lifting at home and walking with my young kids. No drinking or smoking or cheating on my eating. I weigh everything that goes in my mouth.

In regards to the lifting, I usually do 5x5 type things. I have an olympic bar and bumper plates, lucky me :-D. I do the odd higher intensity workout where it is more of an 8x8 with little to no rest, or a circuit training type jobby.

Is there anything I can do or take to help my poor gut out? Was I due for a plateau anyway? Not sure if it is just a coincidence or not. I realise the amount I lost was very rapid until now.

I have lost 17cm from my waist and 16cm from my hips so I know my body is getting smaller. I lost a cm from my waist during this zig-zag weight period.

If your doctor prescribed you meds and you started taking them and now you are having bathroom issues. CALL THE DOCTOR.

Also 1200 calories is the minimum calories recommended by most health care professionals for women. If you are morbidly obese you should be eating more than this. If you are doing exercise, you should be eating more than this. If you are on some sort of doctor monitored diet than you need to TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR (and preferably find a new one). If you are not under medical supervision, then please seek help from a dietitian and learn about safe weight loss methods.

I am on antibiotics pretty consistently for kidney infection and I have never had that problem. You need to tell your doctor and he will likely change your antibiotic.

The doctor was the one to suggest the 900cal per day. I had a BMI of 51.1, pre diabetic and headed for a heart attack at 32.

I called a nurse at the GP clinic who said to take probiotics but I don't think they are helping.

The antibiotics are finished now but my gut is still unhappy. I wish I had never taken them.

I don't really have huge choices when it comes to visiting the doctor frequently, which is sad, as it is $43 a pop and I have already been several times lately. Good old national health service huh :-)

Also I am only a wee short person and don't work so my basic activity level is quite low. I'm too nervous to add more food but will give that a go for a couple of weeks, thanks.

I had a typo in my first post. I went from 253lbs to 219. Sorry I work in metric so pounds are a struggle.
