Level 1 day 1 jillian michaels 30 day shred! I got through it tears and all. It wasn't pain it was frustration that made me cry. I screamed at myself and cried but I finished . I didn't say *kitten* it and turn it off like I have before. I still feel like crying . I guess im just mad at myself that I can't even do a push up ! I know I should be happy I did it but I still feel bummy because of how hard it was.

I know how you feel! I'm on day 9 of level 1 and I can finally do a few regular push ups. I've seen an improvement on my fitness level for sure though.I hear level 2 is a killer. One day at a time. We can do this!!

Just think how amazing you're going to feel when you complete that first perfect push up!

The hardest part is taking that first step! Nice work sticking with it! That's mental toughness right there.

Great job! You're hardly alone in being unable to do push-ups or pull-ups. I do the inclined variety for now--think, putting your hands on a bench or steps. Each workout, I'm one 'step' closer to doing the full movement with all limbs on the same plane. ;)

Trust me it will get easier and you will look back and smile at your progress. We have all been there.

I did the same DVD yesterday for the first time completing it. I cannot do a push-up either, but I tried my best. All we can do is our best. Good luck to you! You did great.

I couldn't do push ups when I did 30DS either. I haven't done it in a while, but I bet it would still kick my *kitten* regardless of how much more in shape I am.

    Keep going. You'll get there.

I've been working out for months and still can't do a 'real' pushup. I do them off the kitchen counter.

Good for you for NOT giving up! Save this post and read it in 30 days. Reality: you may still not be able to do a push-up, but who cares? This is your first step to success. Next fitness challenge you take on you'll know you have what it takes to get through it!

And, I fully expect to see your success story on the "Success" thread in the future and your story will start with your OP. Keep at it. You can do this!

We all have to start somewhere. It doesn't matter where you start, it's where you end up that matters. Some of us just have to travel a bit further to get there.

Good for you for not giving up. Just stick with it and before you know you will be doing the whole thing. I remember when I started my journey I could not do one push up...now I am doing handstand push ups. I could hardly run a mile without feeling like I was dying...I just finished a full marathon.

Keep up the good work! You GOT this!

As you can tell from my profile pic, I'm a big Jillian fan. Her DVDs are killers. All of them. But they also are oh so worth it.
The first few times I did 30 Days Shred, I had to let several days go by in between sessions in order to be able to walk again.
You did it!! And you will again!! Do not give up, two months from now you will thank yourself for this!

I did a couple days of it last week and had a very hard time. I will try again this week. For me the push ups were bad and my arms hurt so bad afterwards, it was awful. I don't want to feel like total crap after doing it, I may need to do a different work out that isn't so intense, or maybe do it every other day? I mean my arms hurt for 3-4 days real bad.
