I didn't really know where to stop losing weight .. I kinda thought I would stop around 120lbs but seemed to have really slowed down now at around 123lbs - 124lbs.. I am really happy with my journey but wonder if I should keep going .. I am now eating a bit more than I was when I was losing but also have loads more energy so am running more and further which was another thing I wanted to start doing more of.. do you think 123lbs on a 5'3" frame is slim enough.. my kids still think I need to lose more. :)

Your BMI is normal. You don't "need" to lose more (and to be frank, it's kind of rude for your kids to say so!). That said, 105 lbs would be the medical limit of "unhealthily underweight" for you so if you would like to lose more, that really should be the absolute lowest you go.

Absolutely go by how you feel. I suppose your kids mean well, but they do no know your body as well as you do.

If it was me, I would decide to maintain where I am at least for 3-4 months and focus on having fun with the running.

thanks for your thoughts guys.. I think my kids meant well.. if my youngest hadn't asked me why I had boobs on my back, I wouldn't have started this journey with so much focus.. so I kinda have him to thank for now being slimmer. I feel really sad when he first called me fat.

I'm sorry, but I think your kids are being little turds. A fit 123 at 5'3"? Are you happy with your weight? Your weight is your business, not theirs.

You're at the perfect weight for your height. Have you thought of a recomp?

If you're happy then tell them to butt out.

You live in your body, they don't.

...what is a recomp? Is that lifting? I have bought a bar bell and some weights...I haven't done much more than once a week body pump stuff? How could that work? I do really enjoy body pump.

    LOL. And true

Body recomp is weight lifting I'm pretty sure . If you have a bit of flab you can tone that up by lifting without having to lose any more weight

Lift at maintenance. Work on losing a little bit of fat, perhaps gaining a tiny bit of muscle. It's slow but it can help with your body composition.

recomp = eat at maintenance calories and slowly lose body fat and put on some muscle..

if you are new to lifting you should see some nice gains..

look into starting strength, new rule of lifting for woman, strong lifts 5x5 etc

Thank you guys..I'm going to start doing more lifting and read up on how to ensure good technique...I still have a bit of a stomach so think this could also really help tone up my stomach and my arms could do with some defining to.. and I also need to learn to ignore my kids sometimes..I suppose sometimes we all hurt people with words when we really meant well..part of our journey is being happy with who we are ..easier done on some days than others..thanks for your thoughts and support x

You need to lift weights. Heavy (for you) weights.

Yes. Maybe you should change up workouts and not focus on weight?
