Just a dumb question
I fail largely on my protein intake daily, i am not essentially dieting at the moment, eating basically what i want, just logging everything, i do exercise 2x a week and walk dogs but have 3 days very sedentry
My question is... is it ok to drink a protein shake to make up the difference?

If it fits into your calories, yes. But you also have lean meats, dairy, beans, protein bars, and many other options to choose from.0

protein shakes are a great way to supplement your protein intake.
i try to hit 200g of protein every day and its extremely rare that i do that with food, so i enjoy protein shakes often.0 -
If it fits in your calories, it's fine. Some shakes are high in sugar though so that is kind of wasted calories. Maybe also consider some lunch meat, a boiled egg, or nuts.0

and some shakes are relatively low in sugar.
boiled egg is great, but at 70cals for 6g of protein, the ratio of protein to cals is not great. nuts dont offer much bang for your buck either, as they are high in calories due to the fat content.

It seems my body craves the carbs and fat ( or my taste buds) but i do like the protein shakes, hate the bars.
I think i'll have to take them more regular0 -
