I have been involved in a 60 day wellness & weight loss challenge for the past 2 months. It's a friendly competition put on by the company I work for - ther are close to 200 of us in the challenge. I have had amazing success with healthy eating and a good mix of strength training & cardio. My quesion: Wednesday morning is our weigh-out so Tuesday's workout will be my "Last Chance Workout." What would you do to maximize that last workout? All cardio? All strength? Or a blend of the 2. I have 40 minutes to workout per day.

You could potentially lose some water weight if you decrease your water intake that day. Avoiding strength training would be a good idea to minimize water retention by the muscles. I personally would do cardio while wearing something that is going to make me sweat more. Could give you a one or two pound edge.

Keep sodium low, and avoid new activities or more intense routines than you are accustomed to doing.

Thanks everyone for the sage advice. It is a fun challenge with cash prizes for the top 15 based on highest percentage of weight loss.

Hey all- I did a ton of cardio on Tuesday and even hit the gym for 30 mins of cardio before this morning's weight-out. The result? I lost 17 lbs in 60 days, my % of weight loss was 8.35. The top 25 losers based on percentage won a cash prize, I was #20!!!! Not enough $$ to retire, but enough to treat myself to workout pants in a smaller size!
