Weight training

I'm looking at getting back into weight training. My goal is to lose 50+ lbs. I'm already doing lots of cardio. I need opinions on frequency of a full body workout and if a circuit type training would be beneficial for me to keep my heart rate up. Thanks

A few, easily google-able full body programs are: Stronglifts 5x5, Starting Strength, Ice Cream Fitness 5x5, All Pro's beginner plan, any New Rules of Lifting plan (there are several books.) Each of those plans have their own frequencies built in (I think those are all 3x/wk.)
I would not focus on keeping your heart rate up during weight training. It's going to happen but your focus should be on gaining strength rather than thinking of it as an additional cardio workout.0
