Fitbit and circuit training

I'm not certain I'm following the best practice here so I'm hoping for some advice from others who are far more knowledgeable about such things.
I do the 30 Day Shred every night and input those calories through MFP (which I'm aware are likely grossly inflated and I generally try to eat back very few of them for that reason). Because of that, I take my FitBit One off when I work out. I feel as though it will calculate a certain amount of calories burned during the 20 minute workout and if I were to then go in to MFP and add those in, it would give me overlapping earnings (i.e., if MFP says I burned 200 calories in that time and FitBit registers a burn of 100 calories, I assume I'm getting a total burn of 300 calories which I know to be wrong because it's the same 20 minutes).
But the more I think about it, the more I believe that since I have FitBit and MFP linked, the calories earned according to FitBit in that time window will be over ridden once I enter them in to MFP because the systems will recognize the time as being the same.
Does that make sense?
And am I right in my new thought that it won't double count? I keep telling myself to leave the FitBit on and test out my theory but I'm worried about mucking up a day of calorie counting.
Thanks!

You won't get 'credit' for 2 sets of calories in one window time. When you enter activity on MFP, you indicate a start & end time. That overrides the detail obtained from Fitbit.
If you have MFP & Fitbit synced, it also gets back to Fitbit - which uses the logged activity also. Log into your Fitbit.com dashboard, check logged activities - and you should see it there.
You can always remove logged entries - though in this case I *think* you'd need to delete from both sites. Such as the last time I used MapMyWalk it had a high # for calories burned, then I realized I had not updated my weight in MMW for almost a year. Which is why it was so high. 40 pounds makes a difference. So I delete the activity from MFP, yet it still showed the high burn as Fitbit imported it. Deleted from my activity log there and all was well again.0 -
Thanks StaciMarie. I won't take the FitBit off when I work out tonight and I'll just confirm that it's showing something approximating accurate!
Interestingly enough, the last two days FitBit has not been taking logged activities from MFP. MFP is showing my workout calories after I enter them but those are not transferring to the FitBit app. It's only been since Monday which I find odd. Instead, I've been manually entering in both apps and confirming that it doesn't appear to be double counting anything.0 -
I've been seeing (and reading comments here) that there have been lags this week between MFP/Fitbit.0

I have noticed a delay as well btn both sites this week. Annoying at time.
