Is my calorie goal too high or too low?

Been a member since 1st February. Lost 5lb in first two weeks and then nothing since. I am 5ft 5.5ins. Age 53. Female. Sedentary lifestyle although I do try to aim for 8000-9000 steps per day. MFP gives me around 1200 calls per day although I've set my goal for 1400 as I thought it was too low. I'd like to lose around 1.5-2lb per week. I've tried to stick to my limit although have gone over on odd days. I log my meals every day also. Is it worth lowering my calorie goal? Anyone out there with the same issues? I've got a goal of 25lbs to lose.
