Changed from strict dieting to more of a "lifestyle change" slow going this time.

So a few years ago I lost 45 lbs by eating 1200 cals a day and tons of cardio. I never ate junk and didn't drink booze etc. zero cheats

I lost weight very fast, but gained 15 lbs back once I stopped being so strict. So what I was doing was dieting before not a lifestyle change which means it wouldn't last once I started going back to normal.

Now, I have my cheats drink on the weekends occasionally and eat 1400 ish with a cheat day. I workout 5 days a week. The weight is coming off slowly (5.4 lbs in a month) BUT I can maintain this so it's so much better.

I finally did a life style change instead of a diet. I have 5 lbs to go now.

Just wondering what others had to say about this, if you are doing the diet kinda way or overall change that you can maintain? And what works for you?

Thanks.
