Going over on Carbs

When people go over on their daily Sugar because of fruits, I always advice that the body understands how to break it down, because its natural sugar, so dont worry about it.
Does the same apply with Carbs?
I eat atleast 4 servings of fruits each day, and they are usually banana, apple, oranges and they are high in carbs and I also eat pineapple
Does going over on Carbs when its mostly fruits that causes you to go over, cause a problem in the weighloss journey?
Also what is the correct ratio to follow where Carbs/protein/fat are concerned?....right now I do 40/30/30
Thanks for any input
