Hi, I am not sure if it's water weight. I can gain or lose 10 pounds in a day or two. I love water. I drink it nonstop. Is this normal?

I can gain 5lbs. I also drink a lot of water, but too much water can be bad for you. If you pee clear, it's probably appropriate to back off the water a little.

Are you weighing yourself at different times during the day? Weight fluctuates during the day. Try to always weigh yourself at the same time every day (or better yet just once a week).

I try to weigh myself at the same time every day. I drink to much water. I do take vitamins and drink something everyday with electrolytes. Drinks are one reason why I am so heavy. I was drinking about 2000 calories a day in sugary drinks.

It is hard to drink too much water. Weight fluctuates for many reasons, food in your digestive tract, water retention, who knows?? But it is normal and if you're eating at a deficit, it will go down. I would bet you've also lost 5 pounds in a day, right?

It is no secret that many Americans struggle with being overweight or obese. In fact, according to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 2014, two-thirds of American adults are overweight or obese.

Americans may have weight problems, but it isn’t from a lack of effort. In fact, Americans spend more than $60.0 billion every year on weight loss programs and products. But while Western medicine and the weight loss industry mostly focuses on the consumption and burning of calories, this approach only works for some people; so many others fail to reach their weight loss goals.

There are a lot of good ideas in place, including exercise programs and specifically tailored diet plans. But, from a holistic perspective, something seems to be missing. Get involved into traditional Chinese medicine for weight loss success.

I understand it can look bad, but if you are doing everything right and eating consistently under your maintenance, there is no reason to feel depressed about water weight. :)

Doubtful that is the problem. What is your sodium intake? Do you generally eat salty foods or prepared foods or eat out a lot? More likely that is the source. Keep drinking your water. There are so many benefits from it that I'm sure it is much better for you than you think.

You don't need to be drinking electrolytes, unless you are exercising like it's your job or running a marathon. Plain water is best, Gatorade and all those sport drinks are loaded with sugar. Useful when you need glucose quick to replenish glycogen, but most of us don't workout that hard.
