When I start to workout I start to get much more hungry. My wife dropped weigh ( 25lb) when she stopped exercising and just watched her calories, that's all she needed to lose. Before that she could not lose it because she was always hungry. Any tips on how to stop the hunger if you exercise ?

How to stop hunger when you exercise? Easy! You can eat more!!
I really miss my exercise calories on my rest days and find I am hungrier on those days because of that, it's nice to have an extra 200 a day to play with.
That said you will lose weight whether you exercise or not so long as you are creating a deficit but you may end up "skinny fat" rather than toned so it depends what your goal is.0 -
Calorie deficit for weight loss, exercise for overall health! Yes sometimes it will make you hungrier...but that's okay.0

You are confusing yourself here.
Your wife dopped 25lbs because she was at a calorific deficit. When she was exercising then she must have been eating more than she burned from the exercise. It doesnt mean the exercise made her gain weight, just she was overcompensating beforehand.
In terms of exercise there are 2 schools of thought.
1. Do exercise in a fasted state, which means do i first thing in the morning so your body burns fat as a result of the exercise.
2. Fuel your body so it has sufficient nutrients and fuel to have a good workout.
there appears to be some minor benefit by doing 1, but inconclusive. I would say 2 is better, becayse a more efficient workout is more effective at burning calories. People react differently, some get hungry, some it doesnt affect.
Turning to your question.
I think you should fuel your body before the gym if its going to be over an hour. Eat about an hour before some carbs, but a banana is a good start. there are many articles on pre workout snacks. You cna tell when you are flagging and running out of energy.
Make sure you are hydrated, so drink through your workout. I find water a great boon and alsways have a bottle with me to take sips of during my workout. It also helps deal with hunger.
I cannot say what you should eat post workout. many people go for protein due to assisting with muscle repair and it helps fill them up. there are many articles on post workout snacks as well. Google them.
What I would say is common sense that if you burn 500 calories, then it makes sense that you then dont eat 800 calories to compensate as that would put you in surplus, unless it fits your overall calorie allowance. You will still get benefits from exercise, but you would be overcompensating. Maybe try eating between 25-50-75% back.
