Trying to get abs, Where should my sodium intake be?

I'm currently working on my abs. Where should my sodium intake be?

I've read that thread and don't believe it addresses the sodium question, unless someone got to it later in the thread, I have also been trying to figure out what's up with sodium and water retention/belly weight loss.

Sodium has nothing to do with visible abs.

Lose body fat and your abs will start to show. Simple.

I kind of agree. Bloat can hid muscle definition to a degree. But rather than try to cheat by manipulating bloat/water retention, why not just work on growing the muscle and/or cutting the fat?

Do you want to fix the "problem" or just put a bandaid over it?

Sodium is irrelevant until your body fat is low enough to see abs. At that point you will have to experiment to see what level is appropriate for your activity while avoiding bloating. Generally if your sodium intake is level and you drink adequate water you won't retain water no matter how high the sodium intake is.
