Working on my abs, what should my basic macro split be?

I'm currently working on developing my abs and putting on some lean muscle. With the goal of abs in mind, what should my basic macro split be? Higher carb, lower fat? Lower carb, higher fat? etc. Thanks!

By "develop abs" do you mean have visible abs or gain muscle there? Having visible abs comes down to body fat percentage. Gaining lean muscle typically requires eating at a surplus, the two can be done as a recomp, but it's a slow process. Generally, most people pick one to be the focus. If you have a higher body fat percentage now, I'd eat at a deficit, make sure to try to get at around 1 gram of protein for every pound of LBM you have and develop my macros around that. If you're at a lower bf already, but your Cala, perhaps up your protein and go form there for a split. I don't think you need to be "low" in anything. I think 40/30/30, carbs, fats, protein, is a pretty basic split and good place to start.0
