Ok, so I may have gone from a 14 to a 10 but I still have a tummy, what would be the best way for me to get it flatter? I work 12.5 hr gruelling shifts in the hospital so wouldnt be able to get to a gym on these days nor would I havethe energy for much exercise after work.

I know once I become an R/T I will have to endure 12 hour shifts. Have you tried working out before your shift? Wake up about an hour earlier. It will take time to get use to but your body will adapt.

Yeah, working out first thing in the morning is always good, and also they have like 10 minute solution DVDs that you might want to try. I believe they even have one just for abs if toning is all you are really looking to do at this point. You can find them at stores like Target. I hope this might of helped a bit.

You can't spot reduce though, so doing an abs dvd isn't going to "spot reduce" the area.

RGv2 is right. You can do that abs DVD all day long, and nothing will happen unless your diet is in check. You are better off at adopting a comprehensive weight lifting program, something that can be accomplished in 2-3, 30-45 minute sessions a week. Lifting weights will reduce your overall body fat. You'll want to look for a program that incorporates full body movements - squats, lunges, bench press, etc. Building more muscle will also no doubt help you with your job as an RN.

Work out before you shift and you will be more alert and have a better day. I am NOT a morning person and it took me months to finally start enjoying AM workouts, but now I love it.
