iPod 6 ??

So here's the deal,
I have an itouch 4
And I need to buy a new iPod.... But it seems to me that as SOON as I buy "the latest" a new one comes out right after.
In this case I'd rather hold on for the i6 if its going to come out.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Will the new one come out soon? I hope you all have some thoughts on this.

    Apple has an event coming up on March 9 so wait until then to see what new products they release.
    Googling "when does apple release new ipods" bring up sites that show that Apple has released new IPTs mainly in Sept or October, but last year in 2014 a new IPT was released in June.
    If no new ipods come out on Monday then it's a good bet it'll be a few months.

    I don't give into these overpriced fads of "new" products. Still got my old behind phone from like 5 years ago.
