Cellulite doesn't have anything to do with your muscles - not really, anyway. It's a skin/fat thing. Toning the muscle will make it appear more smooth than having a less toned muscle underneath of it, but it sort of is what it is, you know? If you lose weight, you lose fat, and that may help with it - if you are already at a healthy weight, do not try to lose more just to get rid of cellulite. tone up more, see if that helps...
But also remember, something like 90% of women have cellulite. It's sort of part of how we're built, you know? Thin women, fit women, overweight women, curvy women, obese women - we all have probably have it.
Love your body. Make it strong and healthy, but love it how it is.0 -
I know this isn't the answer you wanted, but this is a great article on the topic:
https://gokaleo.com/2013/03/06/cellulite-its-time-we-all-just-get-the-hell-over-it/
It also features a photo of Scarlett-freaking-Johansson with - you guessed it - cellulite! Here's the first paragraph in case you don't want to read the article:
Listen folks. Cellulite is not a ‘problem’. It is not a flaw. Cellulite is a normal function of the way women’s bodies store fat. 80-90% of women have cellulite to some degree. Lean women have cellulite, healthy women have cellulite, vegan women have cellulite, paleo women have cellulite, celebrities have cellulite, body builders have cellulite, bikini models have cellulite, women in isolated cultures who still live a hunter-gatherer lifestyle have cellulite, women with access to unlimited amounts of plastic surgery have cellulite. Most of the women reading this have cellulite. You’re not flawed. You’re normal.0 -
its something you have to deal with, just like stretch marks if you have them. its something that you either have or dont. some have an excess of it and others have just a little. the only way to get rid of it is lipo or maybe that new thing they are doing that supposedly freezes it(in office visit and very very expensive).0
