Okay, we all know you need to run a caloric deficit in order to lose weight. My question is how many calories does one need to burn to lose a pound of fat?

3500, so a 500 per day calorie deficit will lead to a 1 lb loss (all other things being equal).

Above is probably the best guideline.
If you are asking about how many calories you should burn in one exercise to lose a pound of fat, there is no good answer that I know of. Depending on the type of exercise, the level of effort, the duration, your glycogen levels, and probably a dozen other things it will vary based on these.0 -
Well, if you put as your goal 1lb loss /week, then the amount of calories given to you already puts you at that deficit to lose that pound.0
