diary keeps jumping me back to the top

every time I make an addition, change, or delete any item on my diary it always pops me up to the very top Once the change is made. It's very frustrating. If I am looking at information in the dinner section for example. I want to be in the dinner section. I don't want to make a change and then have it pop me back up to the breakfast section every single time.n. Can this be fixed!?
