Quick question ..on week 7 of beginner strong curves program, but I am trying to lose weight and look better esthetically. I would say I need to lose 25-30 lbs. I follow this program 3 x week and the other 3 days I do 20 min of cardio ( sometimes interval) and 30 min of CX works ( cardio based, high rep core program- planks, crunches, oblique work, squats, wood chops, back extensions, tube work).

Anyhow, as my goal is weight loss, should I be careful on my weights/load and reps? The rep suggestion was 8-12 and this past week I was doing heavier weights with only 8 reps. A trainer from my gym suggest I lower the weights and aim for the higher rep range.. More 10-12 or even 15 as I need to lose weight ....she suggested once I get to my weight loss goal I should build. I guess I was getting carried away hahaha as I was loving how strong I was getting so I was upping my weights so that I could only get to 8. Should I lower weights and do 10-12 reps for now?
Thanks!

If you're doing 8 reps this week, next week see if you can do 9 or 10 at the same weight. I wouldn't lower the weights though. There's no need to lift lower weights just because you are losing weight.
