Since there's no way to really search the groups I started a group for a pretty specific niche demographic. I'd love to have others of the swim/bike/run persuasion who follow a TKD/CKD carb cycling diet for weight loss and/or improved performance.

My understanding of carb cycling for endurance athletes is as follows:
Off season/Base period: eat teh carbz, but not very much of it. Moar proteenz and fatz to help with the training of muscles and strengths.
Foundation period: eat a bit more of teh carbz. Keep protein and fat up.
Preparation period: eat moar of teh foodz
Specialization perdio: Eat Moar Of Teh Foodz, lots of teh carbz
Week before event: EAT ALL OF TEH CARBZ! OMNOMNOMNOMNOM!
Transition period: no carbz.

My definition of carb-cycling: I intake carbs while cycling in the form of gels. I intake carbs when I am not cycling in the form of beer
(I have nothing to add sorry, and I know what you actually mean by carb-cycling )0 -
OK maybe I do have something to add:
I find I just let my body tell me what it needs. I do notice I am more carb-craving during peak training, and I seem to crave more fats and proteins when on a down-cycle or off season base period.0 -

What distance are training for? It makes a difference if you are training for an ironman distance event vs a shorter distance. Also, what are your goals? Weight loss? Gain muscle? Finishing a race or being competitive in your races? This makes a difference in what you consume.0

No. Nothing to do with kitten typing. They are getting closer from getting banned from forum. There is a lot of talk about this user lately in the private news feed.
