Preparing for a 6 hour danceathon

Howdy,
On Sunday I am taking part in a 6 hour Danceathon in London for comic relief and I'd like some tips with day before and morning of preparation.
I tend to feel a bit ill (kind of dizzy and sick) when I stand without moving for long periods of time (I hate roller coaster queues for example) and generally put it down to not eating right when I'm excited or nervous about something.
I have done a lot of training so now I would just like some tips on what and when to eat.
The Danceathon itself is 12 - 6 but we need to travel to London so I'll be out of the house from about 10:00 at least. They are selling some hot food there but I can't imagine I'll be wanting that mid boogie.
I'll be wearing a bum bag (stylish) so i can carry a few snacks.
So really i'm looking for meals for the day before, what to have for breakfast and then snacks.
Thank you!

Oh, that sounds like fun!
I've found that when I do long Zumba events or all-day-all-night salsa Congresses...that I really can't eat much more than usual. Last year, I went to a three-day salsa event and danced for a total of something like 40 hours. I ate like a normal person (but nothing extreme, no fast or junk food) and gained 5 pounds.
So I have no tips because I really haven't found a strategy that works for me yet. You certainly don't need to carb-load or anything like that.
Stay hydrated and enjoy!

Ok, thank you
Turns out the trains are all messed up and I'm actually leaving at 8:30 am so I'll pack some food and make sure I munch along the way.0 -
Personally I'd be thinking carb load, but thats me. As for snacks, nuts or a quest bar.0

Me too.
Beck, if I was in London I'd beg you to let me come along because I LOVE to dance. Have a wonderful time!
