  • I'll try to clarify...i enjoy all the foods that I eat, BUT...I can't routinely eat the things I LOVE -- like ice cream, cake, chocolate, etc...for ME (and I'm only speaking for myself), I have to get used to eating those things that my body needs and have the "other" stuff only on special occasions....I hope that makes sense.

No, not really. If it works for you, that's fine, but it makes no sense to me that I wait till a special occasion for me to have ice cream. I like ice cream. As long as I have the calories and the carbs for the day, I see no point in waiting till Saint Swiven's day or some such thing.

Wait - I have to "eat less carbs"?!?

    Since when?

Had donuts this morning, and sammiches (on fluffy, processed, packaged white bread) for lunch an am looking forward to nachos for dinner.

Who says there's less carbs in weight loss?

    I didn't get that memo.

It does work for me. My trainer has me on 1436 calories per day for right now. There's not a lot of wiggle room there especially when I am trying to balance out and hit all my macros. It's rare that I have any room at the end of the day for "decadent" treats....But, that being said, my body is responding really well to this way of eating. It is working for me.

I get plenty of carbs -- just not in the form of breads, pastas, etc.

She's doing it wrong too?!?! ^^^

Oh my, OP, you might want to reconsider with so many folks who didn't get the memo.

    Hello everyone,

Thanks to everybody for sharing their stories, pictures, and advices. The support and knowledge of this community has greatly helped me in starting my weight loss journey.

I now know that calorie counting and eating less carbs is important in losing weight. Eat smaller portions, and move slightly more.
