Exercise has triggered heartburn

I have acid reflux that is managed with prescription medication. I also know of a couple foods that are triggers that I try to avoid. However, recently I have experienced periods of heartburn throughout my day after increasing my activity level. Anyone else have this problem? Any advice to prevent this without additional meds?

I avoid fried foods, high fat foods, & sodas. Before upping my activity level my acid reflux was controlled (with medication). Also, I have what is called "silent reflux". I didn't have typical heartburn. Just throat problems from the acid reflux. Now, I'm experiencing heartburn throughout the day and feel certain it's the increase in cardio/weight lifting that's causing it. I'm wondering if there's others who have had this happen as well and what they have done for it. Thanks.0
