Tracking issues: One machine says 150, the fit tracker says more

I'm having trouble with tracking my exercise. I go to the gym, I work out and pay attention to what the machines are telling me, calorie wise what I am supposed to be burning, but when I tr to track it in this program it comes up with a different (usually higher) number for calories burned. How do I accurately track my cardio with out over or under estimating?

A tracker accounts for walk/run type activities. What type of exercise are you talking about?

Sorry, I usually do moderate biking for 30-45 mins and treadmill for 30-40 mins moderate pace, sometimes I use incline too.

invest in a heart rate monitor. Neither of what you're using will be accurate

So you should be entering the time into your activity tracker for the activities so it isn't double dipping. Neither are going to be 100 % accurate, but this is why most people only eat a portion of exercise calories.

Calories burned on the machine won't be accurate, unless you can input your height and weight into them. What a 120 lb person burns on the machine will be different than what a 220 lb person will. Your best bet is to look it up on here, or another site where it takes your weight into account, and then assume it might be overinflated and only eat .5-.75 back.
