Over-fat (35% bodyfat) personal trainer who's trying to GET BACK!!

I'm a female personal trainer and musical theatre performer. And in the past 2 years I've fallen off the wagon to the tune of a 10% bodyfat gain and a 50lbs weight gain. It effects my confidence with auditioning, it effects my confidence when training OF COURSE, and it effects my confidence in my social life. And I'm tired of living this way, to say the very least. And I would love to have some support as well as accountability in making my health a priority again.

How frustrating! Was there an illness or stress that triggered the weight gain?

You can do this!

I'm a 40 year old, newly certified trainer. I also am about 35% body fat currently. Obese no matter how you look at it. I've chosen to use my fitness journey to give other women hope. To show them that you CAN go from a size 18/20 down to an 8/10 without extreme dieting. That you can lift like a man without looking like one. My trainer says I am in the top 5 strongest women he knows at my gym.

Sadly, no. Unless the illness is laziness and lack of motivation. I reintroduced myself during rehearsals for a show I was doing on a cruise ship to sugary pastries and heavy carbs. But while rehearsing you don't see the effect AS much. Then the addiction was reawakened and it wasn't of the utmost importance that I watched my weight or health. After the end of the cruise ship contract I was still hooked and lost the motivation to continue working out as well! Even as a PT!! It was crazy. Probably a mixture of not NEEDING to be in shape (I wasn't personal training a lot or in a show that required it) and feeling like I'd fallen too far, especially as a trainer. And from there it snowballed.
