"Bump"?

Hey Everyone!

Maybe it's cause i'm new to MFP but I've posted a few topics and I get some replies that just say "bump" or talk about "bump". Can someone tell me what that means?!

    Bump is what ppl do to a topic to keep it from being buried, so they can refer back to it.

    it's just a way to push a topic back up the list. to keep it active, because you think it's worthy of more conversation or you like it, but don't really have anything to add. Some also use it to "tag" a topic so that they have it in their topic list, for easy reference.
