I just started to loose weight. My weight at the start was 300 and I've lost 4 lbs in one week. I do pretty good with my diet and exercise during the day, but I have problem when I sit down at night and watch tv. I like to snack. I'd like to find something that can be snacked on that will not add more calories, or a tip on how not to snack at night. Any help would be apprieciated.

Ice doesn't add calories, but popcorn or potato chips or wine are far more satisfying! My strategy is to leave some extra calories for late-night snacks. There's nothing wrong with eating late night snacks provided you stay on budget. In a pinch, I find flavored water more satisfying than plain water.0

For the sake of your teeth, please dont crunch on ice. >_<
But agreed, if you know you're going to snack at night then fit it in your calorie goal. Leave 2-300 calories at the end of the night so you can snack. Things like pickles, sugar free jello, skinny-cow ice cream, goldfish, etc. whatever you want to snack on.
Alternatively, if you want to stop snacking at night altogether you could work on discipline and create a habit of being mindful of snacking and NOT doing it. It takes time, but if you want to cut it out, you can.0 -
Popcorn...I just had a small individual serving bag that was 100 calories while I was watching tv. It felt like it took forever to eat it, and satisified my urge to snack.0

I fit an evening snack into my calorie goals.0

What about just an herbal infusion? Something to hold in your hands, warm you up, and taste good? Perhaps also good for relaxing? Should be 0 calories.

I also make sure I have enough left over at the end of the evening for a snack of some sort. Sometimes its a mini meal and other times it's just a mug of light hot chocolate for 40 calories. I snack on celery with hummus or light crisps (walkers baked stars or skips). I've recently discovered miso soup, the red one is OK and only 26 calories. If I have enough left over I have an ice cream sandwich (maxi bon is 196 calories)0

Lose not loose. But just leave calories for late night snacking or try drinking tea. Pick up some low calorie snacks, put them in single servers to keep on hand so you don't eat the whole thing and go from there.0
