Hey! I'm looking into getting some type of fitness tracker either polar Ft7, bodymedia, fitbit (the new band) or something! what do you recommend? how accurate is it?

Honestly it depends on what you are trying to get from the equipment.

A Polar FT7 is a heart rate monitor while the bodymedia and fitbit are more of a pedometer. I have both and use the heart rate monitor for work outs and the fitbit for everything else.

As far as accuracy... they are as accurate as they can be, no piece of equipment is 100% but they are great tools to use. I especially love the Fitbit as it gives me my daily TDEE which helps me with my calorie intake limit.

I honestly think those types of products aren't helpful at all unless you're not doing any exercise and are relying on how much you walk around to burn your calories. Truth is, if you want to invest in something that will show you real results (yes, I know it's a pain in the butt to use them), a food scale and a good set of measuring cups will go much farther than a bracelet that counts your steps...but that's just my opinion.
