I suffer from M.E so I find I cant always do excercise although I do try and do a little everyday.
Even if its only to do vacuuming the house.
I am starting to do things gradually. I am doing ok so far on the diet and am proud of myself.

You should be proud of yourself! Awareness is the first step to making healthy changes... Keep it up because it's all the little things you do that add up quickly!0

I know it doesn't make sense, but exercise is one of the few things that gives me an energy boost (cfs, fibro, arthritis, etc.)
Just go slowly, and give yourself a ton of credit for anything that you do.

I have thyroid issues and fatigue is one of my worst symptoms. Though the medication is helping (only been on it 2 months) I still have to deal with it on a daily basis and being a mom of 2 and working full time it's not easy. While that's a factor for me when it comes to exercise the honest truth is I just don't like exercise at all. But I know I need more activity in my life so I've tried to find things to do that get me more activity that don't feel like exercise or that accomplish another task that needs to be done at the same time. Like you said, vacuuming or other house work, gardening, walking the dog. When I do these things I feel a sense of accomplishment (that the job got done) and I feel good that I had more activity/exercise in my day. I feel these little things will add up and if I can keep doing these things rather than sitting on the couch like I used to do then I've got to be burning more calories, even if they aren't typical "exercise". Do what you can and give yourself credit for doing something, making a small change that will make a big difference. I wish you the best!0

Thanks for your support I am doing more. I have overdone it yesterday after i went to visit my son who lives in manchester. I am in sheffield so just the journey is tiring even tho my hubby drove us there and back. We went for walk round museum and shops and was out walking for a total of 2 hours. I was so shattered on the way back home. I am suffering today with my calfs and tiredness.
I have still managed to make myself do some housework today. I am now resting for a while before my 4 yr old grandaughter comes for the night. Once she is here I cannot rest long. Tomorrow weather permitting be go walk round carboot sale.
So its all helping me. i am so glad I joined here. Thanks again I will keep it up as long as I get support from here. I am loving the forum and the site.
I have also diabetus and hiatius hernia, IBS and arthritus. My knees are painful. just getting out of bed is a problem some days.
I will plod onward. while i have breath left in me.0 -
In the means of encouragement, I can tell you that my knee pain has almost disappeared since my weight loss. I literally used to sit at night and cry because they hurt so badly, nowadays they hardly ever hurt. (psoriatic/osteo arthritis in both knees, feet, and other places).
Rest when you can, be gentle with yourself, and look here for support. There are folks here succeeding with arthritis, fibromyalgia and CFS (probably other things, too).
