cals per portion

I swear its harder to calculate my calories then it is to limit my calories, not that that is easy sometimes. When i make meals its for the whole family so i have to count everything then measure it all to see how much of the total was mine. Sometimes its very time consuming doing all the division and multiplication for one meal.
I guess it's worth tho because i have already lost 11 pounds.

Anyone have any easier suggestions?

Have you tried the MFP recipe builder? You add the ingredients, put in the servings and it calculates the calories per serving. My biggest problem is 9 times out of 10 my servings don't match the recipe so I almost always have to measure out the servings to get a more accurate count.

Are you using a scale? Weigh the serving dish ahead, then weigh it full before you serve. Much faster.

Agreed. I bought a $9 scale from Ross (on a clearance rack) and it's been one of the most used pieces of equipment in my kitchen. Absolutely love it!
