Purchasing a good scale: any recommendations?

Going to purchase a scale on Amazon today so I can be more accurate. Any tips on getting one, or a specific brand/type I should look at?

I sorted by average review and bought that one. I love it.

I did the same and bought an EatSmart one first, but wish I hadn't (not the one pictured in BodyBuButter's link, that one looks better). On mine, the weighing surface is small and round, and the shape is such that if you put a regular-sized dinner plate on there you can't read the display. Of the three that we own now, I like the Mainstays one I got at Walmart for $10 the best of the bunch.
ETA this is the one I got first and regret0 -
Fitting a dinner plate on it was one of my requirements, this one works great with a full sized plate. The one I had before didn't and was a huge pain. I also wanted to be able to switch between grams and ounces with a button on the top (my old one had a little button underneath).0

I must say I LOVE that the scale you linked to goes to 15 pounds, that's higher than I've seen on most kitchen scales. Some only go to 5 or 6 lbs, most top out at 11. Well heck, my EMPTY 6qt crock pot liner weighs over 8.5 lbs, so if I actually, you know, fill it with stuff my scale errors out on me. I think I'll get a new one eventually, and have saved that one to my Wish List for future reference0

Ha, didn't know EatSmart made kitchen scales. Mine is an OXO digital and I love it. But I also love my EatSmart bathroom scale.
