Has anyone tried the "Julian Michael's Detox Water"? It consist of 1tbs of 100% cranberry juice, 1tbs of organic lemon juice, & Yogi Detox tea. I guess if you drink 60oz a day you could lose up to 7lbs....I bought everything today....just getting others opinions OR possibly other recipes for DETOX WATERS AND/OR TEAS.

Never heard about that one before.0

I hear good ol' fashioned water helps your liver and kidneys clear all the toxins from your body quite well all on their own. I guess that technically classifies it as detox water.0
-
BUNK! it's a diuretic (makes you lose water weight) and a potential laxative. Nothing that makes you lose actual fat, just potentially dehydrate you. Even Jillian Michaels says that this one just steals her name.0

haha, funny! seriously - say what?0

I drink Hot Water with Lemon every morning...seems to do the trick0
-
That doesn't sound like water.0
-
Now I've heard everything.
(After a quick google search) Ingredients:
60 oz distilled water
1 T 100% pure cranberry juice (no sugar added, non-cocktail)
2 T lemon juice
1 dandelion root tea bag
If you lose anything, it will be water weight which will come back when the "detox" is done. And for the record, a detox is not needed. The body cleanses it self.0 -
I don't believe in the whole "detox" thing but the Yogi Detox Tea is really yummy by itself. Someone had some here at work one day so I tried it, bought some myself just to switch it up from plain old green tea everyday. I also do the lemon & hot water thing most mornings, starts the day off great0

I think it works out well for Julian Michael pocket book.

Your joking right?
BTW I detox 2-3 times a day. As in I poop.
My kidneys and liver, and other major organs work properly. they do all my detoxing.0 -

According to my homeopath, if you take that solution and mix it with another 60 oz of distilled water, and then bang it on a table really hard, it will get 4x stronger, and you will probably lose 30 lbs.0 -

Does it matter what kind of table?0 -

This.
I drink tea and water daily to keep my water retention down..but mostly because I'm thirsty/my body needs it. It's the same principle as the 'detox'..drink enough fluids.0 -

What will get stronger; the table or the water? Will it be exactly 30 pounds? Do I need to measure the extra water or can I estimate? So many questions...0 -
Both the table and the water will get stronger. And yes, for the love of god, measure the water. You wouldn't want to accidentally add too much water, and lose ALL your weight, would you? Remember - the less of the active ingredient there is, the stronger it will be .. BE CAREFUL!0

Seriously, I am not mocking you here. Don't buy anything that is associated with Jillian Michaels, Dr. Phil or Dr. Oz. They're in it to make a fortune off the backs of people who can't really afford to keep buying their products. These are all snake oil salesmen, and even if part of what they advise is true, a lot of it isn't, so just discount everything they advise.
You have kidneys and a liver that naturally detox your system every day. If they didn't, you'd be dead by now. The only people who really need to go through detox are alcoholics or drug addicts in the first days of rehab. I've witnessed that in some loved ones. Trust me, you don't need that.0 -
Detox waters are bs. My friend swears by them but she loses a bunch of water weight and then seems to gain it all back.
I like adding lemon, mint and cucumber to my water simply for taste. I'm trying to cut out pop & other sweet drinks and it seems to be doing the trick but it's probably not detoxing anything.0 -
I make a 3 litre jig of water up every day and add lemon or herbal tea bags or cucumber for a change and just make sure I am always drinking to hydrate as I realised I was fooling myself as to what I was actually drinking each day. I wouldn't bother trying expensive "detox" methods. Hibiscus flowers are very similar in their taste (in my opinion) and they allegedly have some of the same effects as cranberry, I also make up a nice flavoured drink with them too.0

That is supposed to be a jug of water above but as I am Irish it could be a jig of water!0

What did people do before we had JM, Dr. Phil & Dr. Oz? Everyone just simply died because our bodies just can't function without their help.
