My name is Adrienne. I am 24 (25 in may) and I have two little ones. Before I had my second child, I weighed at 197. My family started in on my weight issue and that was enough to get me going. I got down to 137-140 lbs by November and by December I found out I was pregnant again. I gained a lot of weight with my second pregnancy as well. I started this time weighing in at 171 and I am down to 150ish. I would like to be down to 125-135 lbs. Once I get there I will be reevaluating. So if you want feel free to add me as a friend!0

This is one of the most powerful reasons to get healthier and I applaud you for reaching out and getting support! I used to weigh 250lbs and managed to lose 100lbs before I got pregnant with my son. Now I'm workin' on wrapping up the last 30lbs. It IS possible! No, it's not easy but when you have the drive and determination it won't matter on the hard days, you just keep going!
Feel free to add me as a friend!0 -
Hi Jessica- I'm 22 and have been overweight since a very young age. I have been fighting through fitness programs my entire life but nothing ever seemed to stick. But using myfitnesspal, finding your "why", and holding yourself accountable will be forever one of the greatest decisions you will make. I started out at 236 pounds at 5'2 and I felt miserable all the time. I started working out and eating right and literally everything in my life improved. My friendships, my work ethic, my everything became stronger as I became stronger. It's only been 2 months, and I've lost 25 pounds and am looking to lose get down to 150. All you can do is start and be true to yourself. Rome wasn't built in a day, it's a long journey and it takes a lot of commitment but put your mind to it and you will never look back!0

Do you stay hydrated? When your body is thirsty, it can be tricked into thinking its hungry. Drink water all throughout the day and before meals. Staying hydrated is also crucial for losing weight. You should be drinking about 64 oz. every day. You got this!0

Hi. I am new to this app too. Only been with it for a little over two weeks. I have had problems since I was 13 with my weight. Largely due to really bad knees. I have troubles getting out of the recliner most days due to weather changes affecting the arthritis. I am finding it easier each day to eat a little less and if I feel hungry I fill my 24 oz mug full of water and drink it. If I still feel hungry after that I might find a little something like a bit of fruit or maybe a carrot. I started with this app at the recommendation of my knee specialist. I was 290 starting out. So far I have finally for the first time in over 5 years gotten under 275. I have finally dropped the "baby weight" from my last baby who will be 6 in August. Now I am trying to drop the "baby weight" from my first baby who will be old enough to start driving my car in July. I think with lots of strength we can both do it. Even if you have to talk to yourself and scold yourself out loud it helps. I do. My kids think I'm really weird but that's ok. Feel free to add me if you want0

Don't get discouraged, you can really do this! Try and channel that boredom as much as possible . Keep stuff you woukd snack on out of your way as much as possible. When you're bored and thinking of food, look up healthy recipes and plan healthy meals, cook something .
drinking a glass of water then nibbling fruit is a great idea because it'll help you work out if you're really hungry or not ^^
Well done on starting your mfp journey, you can do it!0 -
You have already taken the hardest step and that is deciding to tackle this. I found swapping good foods for the bad foods(chip, chocolate, donuts etc) I was eating far more than I ever had and was always full and not craving the junk. I made sure my carbs were limited to breakfast and lunch and I went for a high protein with zero or low carb option for dinner. I now eat four times a day and Ive lost 15kg in 30 days with no exercise, only eating healthier. Plan you meals ahead of time to ensure you dont go for the "easy option" and you will see the weigh drop off. Good luck, Im sure you will get into this and transform your life (as I did).

Hi, feel free to add me to your friend list. I am new to this app, just started Sunday. I am on the 90+ weight loss journey. But, as a result of the stuff I really want to achieve (eat healthier, increase daily physical activity ). I feel tired and sluggish all the time. I snack and eat all the time. As a matter of fact, my first day of food logging, I totalled over 3500 calories! I was appalled and ashamed. But, told myself that I can do this. How? I'm starting off slow with daily and weekly Action Plans. I pick something I want to achieve for the week, and break it down into smaller, more doable steps everyday. For example, my action plan for the week is to complete a food log. I will accomplish this by logging my food entries in MFP, 4 to 5 days this week, while staying around my calorie goal for the day. So far, 3 days of entries are completed. One day, I was under my calorie goal, which put a HUGE smile on my face.
I have to stick to simplicity, or I get overwhelmed. So, I hope you reach your goal today, this week, and in the future!0 -
