obese and starting insanity 6/6/13...

I have missed more than a week of month two of insanity, so rather than try to pick up where I left off, I am restarting. I think this will be better for me in the long run. Anyone starting around that same time, join the conversation and let's help motivate each other!
A little about me, I have been overweight since puberty. I cant remember what its like to be skinny and healthy and proud of myself. So I am making changes to improve that. I am just under 5'3. Sitting at 185lbs. That's a lot on this small frame, so I'm looking for motivational support, people to help build me up, not bring me down. I want to become healthy for me, and I want to have a child sometime in the future so I want to be healthy for that child.
I Also what to prove to myself and everyone else that I AM capable of making these changes.
....that's a little peek into me and why I am doing this.
If you are starting what are your reasons?

In the beginning, it was because I was pudgy.
Now that my pudginess has diminished, I am doing it to keep my endurance up, and push it farther.
I would eventually like to run a marathon, start at 5k, then 10k, working my way up to a 25 mile.
I have dropped almost 15 pounds this year alone, from a combination of eating somewhat better (i.e., I still some junk, I just don't gorge on it) and my collection of Beachbody workouts (Insanity, Asylum, P90X, P90X2..........etc.).0 -
You can do it! I just completed day 10 today. I am getting much stronger and able to push that much harder. I would love to help motivate you thru. I am doing a daily blog of my journey, check it out and see if it can motivate you to move! Add me as well if you would like, always looking for my insaniacs.

I hit a plateau a while back (exasperated by my work schedule and being forced to live off fast food while living out of a hotel for a few weeks for work) and I haven't been able to get on track. Having a defined schedule and goal, like Insanity, helps keep me focused. Plus, I want to get my body fat down into the teens. Just once in my lift, I'd really like to have abs. I've got the muscles, but I've never seen them. But I will. I'm on Day 3 today. Feeling sore from yesterday, but looking forward to the next burn.0

I'm on day 18 of Insanity. It's still really tough but I'm glad I'm doing it. I look forward to it before I do it, hate it while I'm doing it, and am so proud of myself for getting through another day afterward. I started for the same reason - I had hit a plateau and couldn't seem to budge off of it no matter how many times I went to the gym or what I ate. I still haven't lost a lot, only 2 pounds, but I have lost inches. I have found that I needed to add calories to my daily intake so I set my fitness pal needs to 1500 from 1200 and made sure the % is 40 40 20 like the book says. That seems to be helping. Just keep going - it's only 60 days which goes by like nothing and imagine how you will look afterward.0

Doing my second round of Insanity. I did my first round a few months ago,had a break, got sick and just restarted. It's my first week. You can totally do this!!! I have a friend (she was obese) she's finished two rounds of it and is now doing Asylum. Feel free to add me. I would love another insanity buddy.
Don't give up,push through and be patient. Looking forward to seeing your progress0 -
Thanks everyone for the support! I'm really excited to start it up again. Its weird to say, because I am so over weight, but I think I really enjoy working out. I've missed it and I'm itching to begin again, wish it was Monday already!0
