I've had two anti-burst stability balls to burst on me, while i was on my back lifting weights. Luckily i was not hurt. Both were Golds Gym products and had weight capacity of 350lbs which i am well under.

I was wondering what would be a good brand to purchase next, as i'm in need of another ball?

Should i contact golds gym to see what they can do/say about the ball busting?

How much where you lifting? The 350 lb weight limit assumes it will be distributed across your butt or your back. Depending on what you were doing, you were loading up more weight (plus momentum) in too small of an area. If you dead set in doing that exercise, I’d look online to the reviews on amazon, etc. to find a better choice.

I was lifting 8 pounds weights in each hand...yea a portion of my biggest loser workout includes the stability ball and weights.

What kind of weight lifting do you do on your back on a stability ball? The only thing I can think of is bench pressing? I wouldn't think you could go very heavy doing that on a ball.

Also, did you have the ball overinflated? Even if the label says it is "anti-burst" the thing will burst if overinflated.

You rest your back on the ball, and basically its working your chest. hmm the ball may have been over-inflated. I think this time i will closely read the labels and make sure that it's properly inflated.

I just want to make sure i find the right ball...
