How do I log yesterday

It's important to me that I am as accurate as possible.

I had a migraine and was in pain from 2:00 in the morning through most of the day. When it almost gone, late in the afternoon, I was ravenous and ate everything in sight; starting with a sleeve of saltines. I was still hungry and, to my delight, my husband got pizza and cookies by the time I was well enough to eat.

Sorry for TMI, but I ended up throwing up because my stomach was too full (serves me right).

I want to log something, but I don't know what. Everything I can remember? I don't think I digested the cookies and probably part of the pizza. But who knows?

Regardless, I'm back on track now. I'm physically weak, though.

I may be being a bit compulsive, but I take this very seriously and feel I must log as accurately as possible if I want success.

Thank you for any suggestions.

I realize the importance of being accurate, but in this instance, I'd just not log yesterday. I'm sorry to hear about the migraines. My Mom gets them (glad that trait skipped a generation) and I know how completely awful they are.

What I'd do is: Get back on the band wagon today and every day you aren't in pain. You'll have ups and downs. Don't let them get you down.

If you feel better about it, log all the the food you ate and forget about it.

I would log the crackers, half of the pizza and cookies and add a note that you had a migraine and vomited after eating if it is important to you to log.

When I have those days I just log what I remember and go forward. It's not perfect but it's something.

Yeah, I was thinking about splitting it down the middle or just logging two-thirds of what I ate.

really? that's what you ask based on the OP....wow just wow

OP don't worry about yesterday...if you really want to as accurate as possible log what you ate with best guesses as to volume and move on.

I'd just log what I could remeber and leave it at that.

I vommed this morning but still logged my cup of tea.

If you're stressed about it, log all the food. There are no MFP cops who will issue a citation for going over the calorie goal.

If you don't want to log yesterday, but don't want to break your logging streak, log everything you ate, up through the saltines, but not the pizza and the cookies.

Feeling better is most important, so take whichever option relieves your emotional stress best.

I agree with others just log about 2/3 or so of what you remember eating.

Side note- I hope your feeling better today. Those things suck big time!

Yes. And weigh everything down to the gram.

That is why this is bothering me. :(

I hope your feeling better today. Log what you ate to the best of your knowledge and add to your note in the food diary that you were sick and drink lots of water to rehydrate from being sick. Don't stress too much about it. Stress (for me that is) makes the weightloss trend more difficult, something to do with cortisol overload I think). I have learned (for myself that is) that positive self talk and keeping my body moving gets me in a good mindset for my personal success. I messed up three days ago and did not log, exercised some, but knew i went off my plan. Now I'm going on my fourth day back on my plan and just yesterday started feeling great again. It's a mental thing for me. Each time I take my pit falls as a lesson for the future:) Good Luck 2 U!

Snort wrong. But lets entertain wrong information. So how should OP log when they threw up some food?

Log the vomit and subtract the difference from all fluids + solids ;)

If it were me, I'd log it all, regardless of vomiting or not... I mean, the day already passed, it's not like you're going to add more food to yesterday. If it were today, and I think I'm going to eat or drink something more, then maybe I'd log about 2/3 like already suggested.

I truly hope your migraines have passed and feel better... Last time I had them, it lasted 2-3 days. Horrible, horrible pain. :flowerforyou:
