Unhealthy relationship with food, binge eating

I'm borderline overweight for my height but not particularly unhealthy and my goal isn't to lose a lot of weight (i'd like to go from a starting 61kg to a final 54!). The problem is, recently i've realised that I have a really unhealthy relationship with food... :/

I will eat when i'm bored or emotional (happy and sad) and even in regular meals continue completely past the point of being full, even if it will make me feel ill. Binging is becoming a problem that impacts on the rest of my life, but I can't find a way to stop myself.

Does anyone have any tips on how to think my way around this one, or tips for limiting the amount I eat to a more consistent, reasonable amount?
