help with tracking pasta and rice

I often make past and rice for my family.
On the package it says ( for example because the package isn't in front of me), 200 for 45g. I know that this 45g of dry product. If I am making it for my family I am going to be making enough for everyone at once. How do I figure out how much 45g dry product is cooked? I hope I am making some sence and that some one has maybe gone through this before.
Thanks for the help

I just made a discussion on this exact issue. Maybe I should read the forums before I post lol.0

Here's a link that may help: http://jdesbonnet.blogspot.ca/2012/03/weight-ratio-of-dry-pasta-to-cooked.html
It's roughly 1:2.
Pasta is calorie dense but so tasty. I sometimes use spaghetti squash instead of pasta if the sauce is a tomato based one.0 -
I weigh the total of all servings raw; cook, weigh the total of the finished product, and divide by the # of servings0
