Vit A, Potassium & Calorie Intake

As I'm tracking my intake of foods daily weighing calories and nutrient value as equally important, I find myself struggling with getting too much Vit A in order to get the appropriate amount of Potassium, concerned about excess Vit A although my understanding is that the upper limit can be as high as 3000 mcg Vit A intake daily (according to NIH). However, I'm not quite sure if mcg is the unit of measurement listed on myfitnesspal for Vit A. Can anyone clarify the measurement and/or dietary recommendations to help me resolve this conundrum? Thank you so much!
