@Sarauk2sf I realise I'm ignorant and wanted to apologise for the rude and silly comment. I'm just trying to learn and wrap my head around nutrient tracking and deficit training. "Cutting" I guess. People are just being distracting and too simple with their answers for my liking. I just misunderstood as you were being real with me and I'm pretty sensitive to feeling attacked even when I'm not. I don't know you but I can see that you've probly worked really hard to develop your muscles. The way I've trained for the past few years has just worked so well for me personally that I think the way I do things is superior. Which I should admit doesn't really matter in the long run. I'm just here to learn and so far I've been making people insult me O_o Sorry x and no reason to comment back. Just don't wanna ruin your day.0

That's a pretty good stop and 180 post.
Again, to reduce mass - eat at a deficit, eliminate strength training. You'll lose both muscle and fat. To have a softer look then add weight by eating at a surplus with little training. You'll gain fat mostly. It's a slow reverse comp.

I do CrossFit. What's it to you? Judging other people's workouts is so lame.

@jofjltncb6 lolwut? What ban do you speak of, my troll?? I've never been banned on anything. Just unactive on bb.com because I didn't like how it tracked the weight I was lifting. Too time consuming to log everything in so I left a verrrrry very long time ago.0

Botox is used for targeted muscle atrophy. So it wasn't an attempt at being clever. Sheesh.0 -

A few years ago here on MFP...someone you strongly remind me of. Strongly. Wish I could remember her username to check her old profile pic. You might have a sister you've never met before! How exciting!0 -

I can kind of understand why someone would want to lose muscle mass, ie. an athlete that feels that they're "too bulky" to perform agilely and adeptly at their given sport. That having been said, I've never heard tell of someone wanting less muscle mass solely for aesthetics.0

The way I train works very well for my goals - yours are not necessarily superior at all - they may be good for your goals (other than you being one here asking for advice) but without knowing mine or the way I train or my personal circumstances, saying that they are superior to mine is silly in the extreme. My goals, incidentally are not primarily muscle development.
You did not ruin my day at all. In fact, your comments mean nothing to my personal sense of achievement or self.0 -
I just remembered a clue. Had "starz" in the name. Maybe "jstarz"? I think there were some numbers after it too though.

jstarz002?
Yup, that was it.

Apologies that this isn't you, OP. The similarities in writing style and attitude were just too remarkable not to connect the dots.
(I'm still holding out on the "long lost sisters" possibility though.)

thelittlecharacter wrote: »Does anyone have any experience with decreasing muscle mass and body fat for an overall slimmer/toned look. Im just trying to teach myself how to elongate my muscles while keeping a fit look. Over the past couple days I've been practicing fasted cardio, macronutrient tracking, and more body weight exercises so my muscles aren't under so much tension all the time (I've been lifting heavily for 3 years). So I do have lots of experience on me. I'm just wondering if I should maintain lifting but only with much lighter loads and a faster tempo? Or should I focus my training on building up power, endurance, flexibility, and body weight strength to shed extra fat and muscle? This is such a loaded and tough question I'm sorryyyy xx
You'll lose that nasty muscle mass.
