Push-ups and planks. If you can get a pull-up bar then those are great too. To expand on this there are some great body weight programmes which can be done with little equipment, such as You Are Your Own Gym.

I exercise at home....from weight lifting (heavy weights) to circut training using fitnessblender.com and dvds
  • Thanks KarenJanine :) I have heard about the pull up bars before so I might get one! Got to practice push ups though haha
    Thanks again!
  • squats, lunges, jumping jacks, small hand weights -- biceps, triceps, got a physio ball -- LOTS of things you can do with that,
  • I have got some fitness DVDs and they are helpful :)
But don't have any weights but definitely need some.
    Thanks sezxystef
  • There's quite a lot I can do at home then :D I didn't realise!
I have been doing squats recently..
    Physio ball sounds good
    Thanks eileensofianmushinfine!

fitness blender videos on youtube are awesome, can stream through a smart TV too so its up on a bigger screen, they do some epic 1000 calories workouts and many of them are bodyweight only (no equipment needed) routines x
  • Thanks aliceb83,
That would be helpful as I don't have any equipment at the moment :) I'll definitely be trying that x
  • Thankyou Therealobi1 :)
    They are very helpful!

I use cans and store bought weights, tbands, yoga, pilates, and my own weight. I want to buy some dvds to workout to. My issue is motivation

I have 3 kids and homeschool 2 of them so I HAVE to workout from home. I'm currently training for my first 5K so I have been doing between 30-60min on the treadmill and I use the workout trainer app for my strength training. I have a few free weights and a kettlebell. When I need a break from that sometimes I just crank up the music and dance, which my kids love. On weekends I go outside to walk/run.
